SEA BREEZE = WEST COAST, YACHT ROCK, AOR, BLUE EYED SOUL !!! These definitions of various music styles, that were specially popular in the 1970s and 1980s on American FM radio stations, have recently made a strong comeback thanks to a number of renowned DJs around the world who are reintroducing this type of sound in their Sets. Within the Irma Records catalogue, we have already some notable productions in this music style, and almost all of them have a common link: The Producer, Nerio "Papik" Poggi. Nerio Poggi has always been a great admirer of this genre, especially for its music affinities with the world of Soul and Jazz, and for the refined sounds that define this music style and he wasted no time in dedicating an entire artistic project to this, which goes under the name of SEA BREEZE. The album, titled WEST COAST RENDEZ VOUS, is set to be released shortly. Among the most prominent names who were part of this musical journey, Toto, Ambrosia, and Ace come to mind and which are the three chosen Artists for the selected Covers that are featured in the Album. Two of the songs have already been released as singles: the cover of "How Long" by Ace and the cover of "Biggest Part Of Me" by Ambrosia. The album also includes a cover of "Miss Sun" by Toto. The other 12 songs that make up the album are all original compositions, all played by the best musicians from the Papik team, coordinated, as often happens lately, by Peter De Girolamo. As guest vocalists, we are spoilt for choices between : Lo van Gorp, Alan Scaffardi, Mario Rosini, Dario Daneluz, Filippo Perbellini, David Florio, Kenneth Bailey, Alessandro Pitoni, Alfredo Malabello, and Andrea "Satomi" Bertorelli.
