GreenLab is a project born from an idea by four musicians and producers with different backgrounds: Simone Galgano (keyboards), Federico Mazzoli (bass), Roberto Leprotti (drums and programming), Domenico Canzoniero (guitar, keyboards). The result is therefore an eclectic sound, influenced by trip hop grooves and movie soundtracks with fantastic spacey atmospheres, which could be described as ‘Space Funk’. GreenLab have been performing regularly at famous international festivals like Sonica 2005 and in sophisticated little clubs like Dar El Yacout in Milan, building up a solid base of hardcore followers. They also keep busy as remixers and making music for TV ads and clips. In Italy they work with some of the most active electronic producers on the scene. Their new album ‘Echosystem’ was produced by Ricky ‘Ohm Guru’ Rinaldi, for One Eyed Fish. The CD includes 11 tracks, with the vocal parts interpreted by Rossella Cosentino and Ricky Phillips from Amsterdam Street Knowledge.
